It is with deep sadness that Bonipak Produce (Bonita Packing Co.) announces the passing of Patrick Ferini, one of our second-generation owners and a cornerstone of our organization. Patrick passed away on January 29, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving behind a legacy of exceptional leadership, unwavering dedication, and genuine care for all those whose lives he touched.
Son of Milo Ferini, Bonipak Produce’s co-founder, Patrick Ferini established Betteravia Farms in 1962 along with Henri Ardantz and Milo Ferini, and became a pivotal figure in shaping the company’s direction and values. Over more than 60 years of service, he was not only a visionary leader but also a mentor, friend, and inspiration to employees, partners, and customers alike. Patrick believed deeply in hard work, innovation, and fostering a sense of community within the workplace.

“Patrick was more than a leader; he was the heart and soul of Bonipak. His dedication and passion were unparalleled, and his legacy will continue to inspire us every day,” said Stan Otremba, a long-time colleague of Patrick.
Patrick’s influence extended beyond Bonipak Produce. He enjoyed trap shooting, golfing, and bowling and treasured time with family, whether barbecuing at Lake Nacimiento or visiting Hawaii. His passions and friendships left a lasting impact beyond his work.
As we mourn this profound loss, we also celebrate the extraordinary life and achievements of Patrick. He leaves behind his loving wife Jeri, children Christine, Julie, Joan, and Sara, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as a company and community that will forever be shaped by his vision and kindness.
During this time of reflection, Bonipak Produce remains committed to upholding the principles and values that Patrick instilled in our organization. We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of support from our community, industry partners, and friends during this time.
