Santa Maria, California — July 30, 2025
Bonipak Produce and Betteravia Farms are proud to announce that Kristen Camarena has been appointed Executive Vice President of Farming Operations.
A Central Valley native with agricultural roots, Camarena brings two decades of experience and a strong track record of leadership across multiple facets of industry. Her career began in grower relations, where she developed a strong foundation in building long-term partnerships and advocating for the success of growers.
She went on to serve as a licensed pest control advisor for one of the nation’s largest farming operations, where she gained extensive industry expertise and a solid foundation in operational management. This experience laid the groundwork for her transition into leadership roles, including board positions with the North Kern Water Storage District and the Cal Poly Plant Science Advisory Council, ultimately leading to her most recent position as Executive Vice President.

In her new role at Bonipak and Betteravia Farms, Camarena will oversee all farming operations through harvest, in both Yuma and Santa Maria. As a respected leader and advocate for women in agriculture, she is proud to step into this executive role within a historically male-dominated field.
“I’m honored to join Bonipak and Betteravia Farms at such a pivotal time in the company’s 90+ year history,” said Camarena. “With a transition in leadership on the horizon and a dedicated senior management team focused on defining a strategic vision for the future, I’m excited to contribute to a culture that values innovation, integrity, and long-term sustainability. Together, we have a tremendous opportunity to build upon a proud legacy and create a strong foundation for generations to come.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Kristen to the team,” said Managing Partner, Craig Reade. “Her depth of experience, thoughtful approach to leadership, and passion for agriculture make her a strong asset to the Bonipak and Betteravia family.”
