Broccoli Slaw “Egg Roll” in a Bowl

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground turkey or beef
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 (12 oz) bag Bonipak Broccoli Slaw
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha or chili garlic sauce (optional, for heat)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds and lime wedges for garnish

Directions:

  1. Cook the protein:
    In a large skillet or wok, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add the ground protein and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula (about 5–7 minutes). Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Add aromatics:
    Stir in the garlic and ginger. Cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Toss in the veggies:
    Add the Bonipak Broccoli Slaw to the skillet and toss well. Cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the slaw is slightly softened but still crisp.
  4. Add flavor:
    Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sriracha if using. Mix until everything is well coated and heated through.
  5. Serve:
    Remove from heat and top with green onions, sesame seeds, and a squeeze of lime juice. Serve warm as-is or over rice or cauliflower rice for a heartier bowl.
