Ingredients:
- 18–24 oz bread cubes, preferably French bread or sourdough (toasted or stale)
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 3 cups diced sweet onion
- 2 cups diced Bonipak Celery
- 2 leeks, thinly sliced
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- Kosher salt and black pepper, to taste
- 3 tbsp chopped fresh sage
- 3 tbsp chopped Bonipak Italian Parsley
- 3 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary
- 2½ cups chicken or vegetable stock
- 2 large eggs
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly butter a large baking dish and set aside.
- Sauté the vegetables: In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion, celery, leeks, and garlic. Cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened and fragrant.
- Add the herbs: Stir in sage, parsley, and rosemary. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Combine with bread: In a large mixing bowl, combine the bread cubes with the sautéed mixture. Slowly pour in the stock, tossing gently until evenly moistened.
- Add eggs: Whisk the eggs in a small bowl, then fold them into the stuffing mixture.
- Bake: Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 20–25 minutes, until the top is golden and slightly crisp.
