Job Title: Receptionist/Payroll Clerk

Headquarters: Santa Maria, CA

Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Payroll Lead

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer and filter calls
  • Process Bean and Hat Orders
  • Office Supply Orders (Staples)
  • H2A New Applicant Log
  • Timecard back up to payroll department
  • Pcard and Insurance questions
  • Distribute payrolls checks – Thursday and Friday
  • Assist people with payroll questions (locate checks on non-payroll days)
  • Assist with payroll checks on Wednesdays
  • Sort and distribute mail
  • Packages and Deliveries
  • Enter timecards – 100 employees
  • EDD mail unemployment verifications
  • Sort / stuff all checks *including ALCO ( all day Wednesday)
  • Assist updating the layoff status on ADP/Pet Tiger
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Three years plus proven experience in Front Office Environment
  • Experience in agriculture industry
  • Conscientious, detail-oriented, self- motivated
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks timely and accurately a must
  • Strong written and verbal communication skill.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with individuals across different geographies and cultures
  • Bilingual in Spanish required
  • Proficiency with the computer (Email, Excel, Word, Payroll Systems).
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple job tasks
  • Ability to learn new technologies
  • Be highly organized, punctual and exhibit strong work ethic
  • Willingness to learn
  • Capable and willing to work accurately, efficiently and productively for performance results
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to work in a Professional manner
