DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:
 

      The Cooler Operations Team is comprised of eight essential functions. These are Logistics (internal/external fleet), Supply Chain, Receiving, Cooling, Warehousing, Shipping, Manufacturing Facility Maintenance and Engineering. The team is heavily focused on the receiving, cooling, and shipping of product in the shortest amount of time to ensure finished products are handled according to specifications. Along with the efficient movement of goods into and out of the operation, the team supports and manages the Bonifresh manufacturing operations.  Functional support areas for these functions are Logistics, Warehousing, Supply Chain, and Maintenance. Combined the Cooler Operations will work together to ensure all internal and external customer needs are met in the highest regard for people safety, food safety, quality, and external customer needs.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Includes the following and/or other duties assigned based on business decisions.

  • Conduct and verify preventative maintenance, pre- and post-operation inspections,      calibrations, and critical control points.
  • Ensure all logs are completed accurately.
  • Work comfortably in cold environments (32 degrees or lower).
  • Adapt to flexible schedules and be available for on-call duties.
  • Possess knowledge of equipment operation and address issues as they arise.
  • Identify and report faulty equipment or workplace concerns to the supervisor.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting leadership and guidance.
  • Support and assist in cross-training efforts.
  • Effectively communicate team needs to Leads and Supervisors.
  • Respectful      and Honest collaboration with other departments within the facility
  • Make sound judgment calls when necessary.
  • Understand      “Need to Cool” processes and make daily adjustments as required.
  • Efficiently communicate load requirements to all vessels: Tubes, Tunnels, MACS, and Ice Injector.
  • Additional projects and responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic      knowledge or willingness to learn the following areas;
    • Electrical
    • Mechanical
    • Plumbing
    • Ammonia
    • Welding
    • Hydraulics
    • Pneumatics
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Forklift Certified Preferred – ability to train on-site
  • Troubleshooting/Problem-solving skills
  • Basic  computer skills and data entry proficiency
  • Ability to multitask & manage time effectively
